Technology billionaire Elon Musk has stated that his owned social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is currently facing a "massive cyberattack."

Musk wrote on his X account, "There is (still ongoing) a massive cyberattack. We are attacked every day, but this has been done with a lot of resources." He added, "This could involve a large, coordinated group and/or a country. Tracing is underway..."

On Monday morning, X platform faced intermittent issues, causing service disruptions. However, further details of the attack were not immediately available. Musk had purchased Twitter for $44 billion in October 2022 and rebranded it as X in July 2023.

The attack comes at a time when Musk's other company, Tesla, is facing "takedown" protests across the country. Musk has alleged that left-wing billionaire George Soros, LinkedIn co-founder and Democratic mega-donor Reid Hoffman, among others, are funding the protests.

Musk’s other companies include SpaceX, which currently holds multi-billion dollar contracts with the Department of Defense. The Trump administration has praised Musk's work through his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to reduce government spending considered wasteful, saving taxpayer money.
