Paris: Caroline Darian, the daughter of notorious French rapist Dominique Pellicot, has filed a lawsuit against her father for sexual abuse. In an interview with AFP on Thursday, she revealed that she filed the lawsuit based on suspicions that her father drugged her and sexually assaulted her.
Previously, Dominique Pellicot had drugged his wife, Gisèle Pellicot, for over a decade, raping her and forcing her to endure sexual abuse by multiple strangers. In December, a French court sentenced Pellicot to 20 years in prison for these crimes. Another 50 accused individuals were also sentenced to prison terms ranging from three to 15 years.
Caroline Darian stated that the purpose of the lawsuit was not only to seek personal justice but also to send a message to others who have been victims of sexual violence, encouraging them to continue their fight for justice.
“I Was Forgotten by the Court”
Darian claims that during the investigation, photos were found of her in a nude and unconscious state, which suggests that she was abused by her father. However, 72-year-old Dominique Pellicot denies the allegations of abuse.
She said, "Yes, he denied it. But throughout the two and a half years of investigation, he repeatedly lied and presented different versions of the events."
