Positive Message in Global Politics: President Trump and President Putin's Meeting - Russian Foreign Minister
Moscow, February 22, 2025: Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has announced that preparations are underway for a face-to-face summit between Presidents Putin and Trump following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This talks are seen as a new step against Western efforts to isolate Moscow.
Ryabkov said, "This summit will not only discuss the Ukraine war but could also address various important global issues."
He further mentioned that this is still in the early stages of discussion, and more extensive preparations will be required to make it happen.
Meanwhile, Russian and U.S. representatives are preparing to meet within the next two weeks to begin talks that could lead to further discussions among senior officials. Last Tuesday, a meeting was held between Russian and U.S. representatives in Saudi Arabia, where discussions were held on jointly working to end the war in Ukraine.
Ryabkov also stated that a larger summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could take place in the future, aimed at normalizing relations between the two countries. However, it remains unclear whether any decisions will be made regarding the situation in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukraine will not accept any outcomes from the talks, as Ukraine was not given the opportunity to participate. European countries have also expressed concerns about the sidelining of Ukraine in these discussions.
On the other hand, thousands of people in the United Kingdom marched towards the Russian embassy to express greater support for Ukraine and to ensure its representation in these talks. They called for more military aid for Ukraine and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
Additionally, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that no decisions regarding Ukraine's future will be made without their full participation.
