An exciting opportunity, including a free trip to Finland

"Visit Finland," the national tourism organization of Finland, has launched a unique initiative that combines the search for love, the chance to meet new people, and the opportunity to explore a European country. Through this project, titled "Finnish Dinner Date," 16 single individuals from around the world will be selected. The organizers will cover all expenses, including airfare, hotel accommodation, meals, and scheduled activities.

▪️ Where and when will this trip take place?
This four-day event will be held between February 9 and February 19, 2027. Among the 16 selected participants:
- 8 will travel to Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
- The other 8 will travel to Tampere, located in the country’s Lakeland region.

Each group will be joined by two single local Finnish residents. The experience will include a special dinner, traditional Finnish cuisine, and opportunities to get acquainted with local culture and the Finnish way of life.

Please note that applicants cannot choose their preferred city. Once selected, participants will be informed which city they will be visiting upon confirming their participation.

▪️ Who is eligible to apply?
- Single individuals from any country around the world are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Finnish citizens and current residents of Finland are not eligible for this opportunity.
- Applications must be submitted individually and must include a video created in English.

▪️ How to apply:
The application process consists of two steps.

"Step One": Creating a video in English:

In your video, you must answer the following question in English: “What would you serve on a dinner date, and why?” You should present your personal preferences and ideas in a creative way.

The video must be posted on one of the following platforms:
- Instagram
- TikTok
- YouTube

When posting the video, you must include the hashtag #FinnishDinnerDate and tag the designated "Visit Finland" account. Account Tagging Rules:
- Instagram: @ourfinland
- TikTok: @visitfinland.com
- YouTube: @VisitFinland

If you post your video on Instagram or TikTok, your profile must be set to 'Public' so that the organizers can view it. On YouTube, the video can be set to either 'Public' or 'Unlisted' (unlisted videos can only be viewed by those who have the link).

"Step Two: Filling Out the Application Form"

After posting your video, you must complete the application form on the official Visit Finland website and include the link to your video. Simply posting the video does not constitute a complete application; submitting the online form is mandatory.

From the applicants, 16 individuals will be selected based on the creativity and originality displayed in their videos, as well as the personal insights shared in their responses to the questions.

▪️ Application Deadline: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:59 AM (Finnish local time). This corresponds to 3:59 PM (Bangladesh Standard Time) on the same day.

Selected individuals will be contacted directly, and their names will be announced on Visit Finland’s official Instagram and TikTok accounts on December 1, 2026.

▪️ Important Note: This is not a job, a permanent residency program, or an immigration scheme; it is an initiative focused on tourism and cultural experiences. Although it is referred to as a "Blind Date," it does not involve private, one-on-one dating. It is essentially a group dinner where single individuals—both locals and international participants—will spend time together. Consequently, there is no guarantee of forming a romantic relationship or finding a life partner.

The organizers have stated that they will cover the costs for the four-day trip. However, before applying, you should verify the official terms and conditions to confirm whether expenses such as visa fees, visa approval costs, or other additional charges are covered. Even if selected for the trip, you must still meet all visa requirements and travel regulations necessary for entry into Finland.
