Britain will follow its own path in AI regulation - Prime Minister Keir Starmer
London, January 13: Britain's Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Monday that Britain will follow its own path in regulating artificial intelligence (AI).
Starmer stated, "There are different approaches to AI regulation around the world, but now we have full control over our regulatory system, so we will go our own way on this."
He further added, "We will regulate AI only after testing and understanding it, to ensure that when we do regulate it, it will be appropriate and balanced."
Earlier, Starmer visited the "Manufacturing Futures Lab" at University College London (UCL) and is preparing to unveil a plan to harness AI to boost the country's economy and efficiency.
