Silence the Sound of Arms and Build a World of Peace” – Pope Francis in His Christmas Message
In his traditional Christmas message, Pope Francis called upon the people of the world to summon the courage this Holy Year to silence the sound of arms and overcome divisions globally.
Addressing hundreds of thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope said, “From the Holy Land to Ukraine, from Africa to Asia, the people of every nation and community should unite and take steps toward establishing peace.”
He specifically highlighted the devastation caused by the war in Ukraine and the ongoing violence in the Middle East. Pope Francis said, “Humanity must strive to create a world where the noise of weapons ceases, and divisions are healed through fraternity.”
The Pope expressed his sympathy for the poor, refugees, and those in distress, urging world leaders to take more effective actions to establish peace.
Despite Christmas celebrations in various parts of the world, Pope noted that many remain deprived of the message of peace due to violence and wars.
Pope Francis’ message has resonated globally, inspiring hope among peace-loving people.
