According to reports, Kirillov, the head of the Nuclear, Radiological, and Biological Security Forces, was killed outside an apartment building in Moscow. According to Russia's TASS news agency, the bomb was hidden in an electric scooter, with an explosive capacity equivalent to about 300 grams of TNT.
Images published on Russian Telegram channels show the wreckage at the building's entrance and two lifeless bodies in the bloody snow. Russian law enforcement officials have stated that a criminal case has been filed regarding this incident.
A Ukrainian source told Reuters and AFP that this was a "special operation" carried out by Ukraine's SBU security forces.
