Tasmim Jahan, a student of the Department of Social Work at Government Syed Hatem Ali College, Barishal, participated in the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) 2026, held at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia, from 9 to 12 July 2026. The four-day international leadership summit was organized by Faatiha Aayat Academy bringing together young leaders from different countries to develop leadership
capacity and promote collaborative solutions to global challenges.

Throughout the summit, participants engaged in interactive workshops, leadership simulations, team-based challenges, and cross-cultural discussions focused on leadership, communication, sustainable development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), innovation, and community impact. Delegates worked together in multicultural teams to design practical solutions addressing real-world social issues aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


As a participant, Tasmim Jahan collaborated with youth leaders from diverse backgrounds, exchanging ideas and experiences while strengthening her leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. She also took part in project presentations and discussions that emphasized sustainable, community-driven solutions capable of creating measurable social impact.

Reflecting on her experience, Tasmim Jahan said the summit broadened her understanding of global leadership and inspired her to contribute more actively to community development and youth empowerment initiatives in Bangladesh. She noted that interacting with participants from different countries provided valuable insights into different cultures, leadership styles, and innovative approaches to addressing social challenges.
