A new chapter has opened in US–India relations following a high-level conversation between Indian leadership and former US President Donald Trump. It has been officially announced that tariffs on “Made in India” products entering the United States have been reduced to 18 percent.

Describing the move as a major boost to bilateral trade, the Indian side expressed gratitude to President Trump on behalf of 1.4 billion people of India for what was termed a “historic and welcome decision.”
