$10,000 BONUS: Logan Airport TSA Officers Worked Without Pay During Shutdown

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem (@Sec_Noem) announced that more than 270 TSA officers stationed at Boston’s Logan International Airport will receive a $10,000 bonus for their service during the ongoing government shutdown.

In a post on social media, Secretary Noem highlighted their dedication:

“Despite not receiving a paycheck, our TSA officers at Logan Airport kept travelers safe during the Democrats’ government shutdown.”

According to Noem, not a single TSA officer at the airport missed a shift, even though federal employees were not receiving paychecks during the shutdown.

She added:

“These individuals will all be receiving a $10,000 bonus for going above and beyond to serve their fellow Americans during the shutdown.”

Critical Role in Airport Security

Analysts note that TSA officers’ continued presence was essential to maintaining airport security, preventing potential threats, and ensuring uninterrupted airline operations during a politically tense shutdown period.

A Message of Gratitude

Secretary Noem concluded her statement by thanking the officers:

“Thank you all for keeping us safe every day.”

The announcement has drawn wide praise, emphasizing the dedication of federal security personnel during national disruptions.
