The stars of the Bangladesh Women's National Football Team, Captain Sabina Khatun and Rituporna Chakma, visited the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) office today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur. Fresh off their SAFF Championship victory, the footballers were warmly welcomed by Nigar Sultana Joti, captain of the Bangladesh Women's National Cricket Team.

Nigar Sultana gave Sabina and Rituporna a tour of the iconic SBNCS, sharing insights about the history and facilities of the stadium. As part of the visit, the football stars stepped into the indoor practice facility to try their hands at cricket.

Despite being new to the sport, Sabina and Rituporna showcased impressive batting and bowling skills, drawing praise from Joti. “They’re naturals,” Joti remarked. “It’s great to see their enthusiasm and talent even outside their primary sport.”

The camaraderie between the two national teams highlights the unity and mutual respect within Bangladesh’s sporting fraternity. Both Sabina and Rituporna expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and the opportunity to explore another beloved sport.

“We always look up to our cricketers,” said Sabina. “It was an amazing experience to visit the BCB office and try cricket for a change. Joti and her team were incredibly supportive.”

This cross-sport interaction is seen as a step toward greater collaboration and inspiration among Bangladesh’s athletes. Both teams are determined to continue bringing glory to the nation on their respective fields.
