Israel Vows to Continue Strikes on Houthis in Yemen: Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel will continue launching strikes against targets belonging to Yemen’s Houthi rebels, also known as the Ansar Allah movement. His comments came after Israeli forces carried out fresh air raids on Yemeni territory, including the capital Sana’a.
Netanyahu recalled that just days earlier, Israel conducted a precision strike on Sana’a, which killed several senior Houthi government members who control parts of eastern Yemen. In retaliation, Houthi forces launched a drone attack on Ramon Airport near the southern Israeli city of Eilat, injuring several civilians.
“This did not weaken our resolve,” Netanyahu said in a statement released by his office.
“We struck them again today from the air — their terror facilities, their terror bases, a large number of terrorists, and other infrastructure. We will continue to strike. Whoever attacks us — we will reach them.”
On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the latest series of strikes in Yemen. According to the military, the targets included Houthi military camps, their press service headquarters, and a major fuel depot.
The escalation underscores growing tensions between Israel and the Houthis, who in recent months have stepped up drone and missile attacks against Israeli territory in response to Israel’s military operations in Gaza and the broader region.
