As the nuclear tensions between Iran and Israel raise fears of a new conflict in the Middle East, deadly Israeli military attacks continue unabated in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that at least 51 people were killed and 104 others injured in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours.

According to the latest figures, since October 2023, a total of 55,959 Palestinians have been killed and 131,242 injured in Israeli operations.

Al Jazeera’s Gaza City correspondent Hani Mahmoud said the attacks are mainly concentrated in the southern Khan Yunis, central Gaza, and northern Gaza city areas. He stated:
“The local population believes Israel is taking advantage of the international focus shifting to the Iran-Israel conflict to launch even more severe attacks in Gaza.”

The Israeli military has not yet issued any official comment regarding these attacks. However, observers say there is growing concern that Gaza may be forgotten amidst the ongoing multi-front conflict.
