Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stern warning, saying Iran will pay a “heavy price” in response to the missile attack on Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) this morning, Netanyahu wrote:
“This morning, the terrorist regime in Iran launched missiles at Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva and at civilians in the center of our country. We will make the rulers in Tehran pay a heavy price.”
The Israeli government reported that at least 11 people were injured in the attack on Soroka Hospital, including both patients and medical staff. A section of the hospital was reportedly severely damaged.
In response, Israeli security forces have activated emergency response plans. Air defense systems have been reinforced in Tel Aviv and other key locations.
Iran has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, Israel alleges that the strike was a direct assault carried out under orders from Tehran.
This incident marks a dangerous escalation in the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, which have already led to clashes along the borders with Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. The United Nations has expressed deep concern over the situation.
