Tehran, June 17 — Amid ongoing Middle East tensions, the death toll in Iran continues to rise as the Israel-Iran conflict escalates. The human rights organization Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAANA) has reported that at least 450 people have been killed in Iran during the five days since Israel began its attacks.

According to the organization, the casualties include 224 civilians and 109 members of Iran’s military. The identities of the remaining victims are still being confirmed, though many are believed to be affiliated with other armed groups or organizations.

The Israeli strikes have primarily targeted nuclear facilities, military bases, and key communication centers. These attacks intensified significantly beginning late Thursday night.

On the other side, following Iran’s retaliatory strikes, Israel’s Ministry of Health reported that 154 individuals have been hospitalized with serious injuries as a result of Iranian missile attacks. Many of the wounded are said to be in critical condition.

Israeli authorities have stated that 24 people have been killed in Israel since the conflict began, most of whom were personnel stationed at military or defense installations.

Experts are referring to this conflict as a “low-intensity nuclear standoff,” warning that it could escalate into a much larger confrontation if the international community fails to intervene and promote peace.

While the United Nations and various international organizations have called for dialogue and a peaceful resolution, neither side has agreed to a permanent ceasefire so far.

Further updates and international reactions are expected soon as the situation continues to unfold.
