Israeli Forces Launch Attacks in 4 Countries in One Day, Killing 54 People in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen

[6 May 2025, Gaza] According to Al Jazeera, Israeli forces launched new attacks on Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza on Monday, with Israeli airstrikes on Gaza killing at least 54 people. In Yemen, Israeli forces carried out bombings in the port city of Hodeidah and the Bajil district, with the Houthi rebels reporting at least four deaths in the latest attack. The Houthi group confirmed this on Tuesday.

In northwestern Syria, two separate unexploded ordnance detonated in rural Idlib, resulting in one death and five injuries, according to Syria’s Civil Defense.

Israeli forces have also been seen moving military vehicles and troops extensively near the coastal area of Tel Ashom in Lebanon, as well as near the city of Nahariya, and have issued warnings about roadblocks in the area.

In Gaza, Hamas stated that, due to Israel’s continued attacks and blocking of aid, there is no point in continuing peace talks. Bassem Naim, a member of Hamas' political bureau and former health minister of Gaza, called on the international community to end Israel’s "hunger war" against Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Gaza’s more than 2 million residents will be "moved" in a new ground offensive, as Israel’s total blockade on Gaza reaches its 65th day.
