The United States has not given up on resolving the Ukraine conflict, but there are many other critical global issues that demand attention, said Acting National Security Advisor and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with Fox News.

Rubio stated, “We’re not giving up on this. But at some point, the President (Donald Trump) will have to decide how much more time and resources the top levels of our government will dedicate to this issue.”

He added, “There are other very important developments happening around the world. While the war in Ukraine is significant, I would say what’s happening with China over the long term is even more important.”

Rubio noted that Washington is aware of the positions of both Moscow and Kyiv. He said, “They’ve come closer to each other, but there are still substantial gaps. And to make a breakthrough possible, we need to see some real, tangible progress very soon. We're working on that — otherwise, the President will have to decide how much longer we continue investing time on this issue.”
