Qatar expresses interest in recruiting 725 Bangladeshi soldiers for various roles – reports Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS)
Doha (Qatar), April 22, 2025

Qatar has expressed interest in recruiting 725 soldiers from Bangladesh to work in various positions, according to a report published by the state-run news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).

Speaking to BSS on the sidelines of the Earthna Summit in Doha today, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said, “The process of recruiting soldiers from Bangladesh will begin within the next two months.”

A high-level delegation from Bangladesh, led by the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is currently visiting Qatar to attend the Earthna Summit 2025.

Shafiqul Alam noted that Bangladeshi soldiers have been working in Kuwait for a long time. Similarly, Qatar has also expressed interest in regularly hiring Bangladeshi soldiers.

He added, “Qatar will recruit 725 soldiers every three years, but we are trying to increase that number.”
