Dhaka, March 25: Save the Children has reported that over 270 children have been killed in Gaza in the past week since Israel resumed its attacks, marking it as "one of the deadliest periods for children" since the war began.

Rachel Cummings, the humanitarian director of Save the Children in Gaza, stated:
"Bombs are falling, hospitals are being destroyed, children are dying [and] the world remains silent. No aid, no safety, no future."

In a statement, the organization warned that the renewed assault on Gaza is effectively a "death sentence" for its children. According to data from Gaza's government media office, since the war began in October 2023, at least 17,900 children have been killed.

Save the Children further stated:
"Children are dying in their sleep inside tents, they are starving, and they are being attacked. The only way to protect children and their families is through an immediate ceasefire."
