The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed the execution of two Indian nationals sentenced to death in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Earlier, on February 15, a 33-year-old Indian woman was also executed.

According to sources from the Ministry of External Affairs, the executions of Muhammad Rinash Orangilotttu, a resident of Kerala, and Muralidharan Perumthatta Velappil took place on February 28. Both individuals were convicted for separate murders.

Earlier, on February 15, a 33-year-old Indian woman named Shahzadi Khan was executed in Abu Dhabi for the murder of a child, for whom she was working as a caregiver. Shahzadi's family claimed they were not given any prior warning, and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs informed the family about this on February 28.

The Ministry of External Affairs, while confirming the execution of Orangilotttu and Velappil, stated that consular and legal assistance was provided to help the families of the deceased participate in the funeral rites.

Furthermore, it was informed in the Indian Parliament that 29 other Indian nationals are facing the death penalty in the UAE.
