She said that Macron recently commented that Russia poses a threat to Europe and is considering bringing European allies under France's nuclear security umbrella, according to Russia's state-run news agency RIA.

Moscow, March 6 – Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has described French President Emmanuel Macron as being detached from reality. She said that Macron recently commented that Russia poses a threat to Europe and is considering bringing European allies under France's nuclear security umbrella, according to Russia's state-run news agency RIA.

Zakharova told RIA, "Every day he makes statements that are completely inconsistent with reality and contradictory to his previous remarks. He is a kind of 'talker.'"

In response to Macron's comments, Russia has reacted, which has further escalated tensions on the international stage.
