Ukrainian President Zelenskyy May Need to Resign, Should Be More Grateful – Speaker Mike Johnson
March 3, Washington: U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson commented that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not change his behavior and fail to express proper gratitude towards the United States, he may have to resign.
Zelenskyy had a heated meeting at the White House on Friday with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, where he expressed doubts about the potential for peace through U.S. negotiations with Moscow. In response, Trump and Vance criticized him for not being sufficiently grateful to the United States.
Speaker Johnson stated, “Instead of expressing gratitude to his hosts, Zelenskyy berated them. The U.S. has provided extraordinary assistance to Ukraine, and he should have been thankful for that.”
He further added, “If Zelenskyy does not pursue peace, someone else should be sent with whom we can effectively work.”
