Houthi Group Preparing to Attack Israel Over Alleged Gaza Ceasefire Violation

Dubai: The Houthi group is prepared to launch attacks on Israel if it resumes its assault on Gaza and violates the ceasefire agreement, the group's leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi claimed on Tuesday.

Al-Houthi said, “We have our hands on the trigger and are ready to escalate our attacks against Israel if it resumes aggression in Gaza.”

In a show of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza, the Houthis have attacked Israeli and other vessels in the Red Sea, disrupting global shipping lanes.

The Gaza ceasefire agreement appears fragile, as Hamas has stated that it will stop releasing Israeli prisoners due to alleged violations of the agreement. In response, Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the military to remain at the highest level of readiness in Gaza.

The Houthi group, which is part of the Iranian-led regional alliance known as the "Axis of Resistance," has already launched missiles and drones toward Israel, located hundreds of kilometers away.
