Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman: No Relations with Israel Without Palestinian State

Cairo, February 5 — Saudi Arabia has announced that it will not establish relations with Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state, which directly contradicts U.S. President Donald Trump's claim. Trump recently stated that Riyadh is not demanding the creation of a Palestinian homeland and suggested that the Gaza Strip should come under U.S. control.

On Tuesday, Trump said at a joint press conference that the U.S. would take over the war-torn Gaza region, resettle Palestinians elsewhere, and focus on economic development. He made these remarks alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia strongly rejected this proposal, with its foreign ministry issuing a statement saying, "We will not accept any attempts to displace the Palestinians from their land." The kingdom made it clear that its stance is non-negotiable.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman confirmed the country's position in a clear and explicit manner, stating that it cannot be interpreted in any other way.

As Palestinians are devastated by the ongoing war in Gaza, they fear another "Nakba" (catastrophe), reminiscent of 1948 when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians lost their homes with the establishment of the state of Israel.

This issue is of great significance to Saudi Arabian policy in the Middle East, presenting a major challenge for both Trump and Israel.
