Washington, January 18, 2025: When Donald Trump returns to the White House on Monday after eight years, his family circle will reflect some notable changes.

His youngest son, Barron, who was a fifth grader back then, is now a college freshman who stands taller than his father, surpassing the 6-foot (1.8 meters) mark. His granddaughter, Kai, who was 9 in 2017, has become an emerging social media influencer and a talented golfer. His grandson, Joseph, who once sat on Trump's lap with a Lego model of the White House, is now 11 years old.

Prominent figures in Trump's political sphere, daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared, are currently in Florida, having worked in his first administration.

Family members can offer presidents moral support, companionship, and relief from the world's challenges, but they can also present challenges. Tevi Troy, a former George W. Bush administration official and author of several books on the presidency, commented, “Family can do things others can't and can be trusted in ways others cannot. Everyone needs someone to talk to late at night when they let their hair down, so to speak.”

The newly elected President Trump has five children, three of whom are married, from his marriages to Ivana Trump, Marla Maples, and current wife Melania Trump. He also has ten grandchildren, with an eleventh on the way.
