On Sunday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a direct warning, declaring that Israel “must be punished” and that this punishment will continue. He stated:
“The Zionist enemy has committed a grave mistake, a major crime; it must be punished and is already being punished — right now.”
He delivered this message via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where he wrote:
“The punishment is ongoing.”
His remarks come at a time when Israel claimed that Iran launched a missile toward its territory. In response, Israel is reportedly preparing for retaliatory military action.
Tensions between Iran and Israel have sharply escalated in recent weeks. The situation reached a boiling point after the United States launched a military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.
