Trump challenges Biden to debate ‘anytime, anywhere’

‘Anytime, anywhere I call for a debate on TV’ — this is how former President Donald Trump challenged US President Joe Biden. He said, ‘Joe Biden and I will debate the issues that are essential for America. It is important for the good of the country. Trump called on Biden to debate after the candidacy was confirmed on Super Tuesday.

Trump challenged the election debate in a post on his own social media, Truth Social, on Thursday. The presidential election is going to be held in the United States in November. It is almost certain that Joe Biden from the Democratic Party and Donald Trump from the Republican Party are the candidates in the election.

Biden did not face any competition from his own party to be a presidential candidate in the next election. Trump was far ahead of the Republican Party in the fight for the nomination. Last Tuesday, on ‘Super Tuesday’, the last 15 states voted in the Republican Party’s primaries. 77-year-old Trump won all 14 of them. Only in the state of Vermont was his last opponent, Nikki Haley, ahead.

Although there are no legal barriers to becoming a presidential candidate, various controversies have arisen around Biden. He is the oldest president in the United States. Even though Biden, at 81 years old, is eligible to run for president, there are concerns about his ability to handle the responsibilities mentally if elected in the future. Democratic Party members have raised questions about this.

In response to the challenges posed by Trump’s controversies, Biden has not yet commented. Previously, during the 2020 presidential election, the two had faced off in debates twice. The first debate was marred by Trump’s interruptions and disruptions. The third debate was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the debate being held virtually, a format Trump refused to participate in.

Today, there are discussions about Biden addressing a joint session of Congress, where he will outline his agenda. During his time as president, he will inform the public about his accomplishments. Additionally, he will issue a call to duty for the next four years of the presidency. Trump has already stated that he will respond quickly after Biden’s State of the Union address because the truth is important for the country.

Despite Trump’s claims of not lying to the American people, his history is filled with falsehoods in almost all his speeches. Similar allegations have been raised against Biden. According to a report in The Washington Post, during his presidency, Trump made over 30,000 false or misleading statements in front of people, averaging about 21 false statements per day.
