Australia and Bangladesh have reaffirmed their shared commitment to building a peaceful, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, as senior leaders from both countries discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors. Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle met with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, where both sides reviewed the growing partnership between the two nations and explored new opportunities for collaboration. During the meeting, they discussed expanding cooperation in trade and investment, accelerating joint efforts on climate change adaptation and resilience, and strengthening the ever-growing people-to-people connections that continue to serve as the foundation of the Australia-Bangladesh relationship. The discussions also highlighted several emerging areas where the two countries could deepen cooperation in the coming years.
